Difabike - Transportation Mobile App
Overview
DifaBike is a transportation provider likes motorcycle taxis initiated and driven by people with disabilities and specifically designed for them as well. This startup was initiated based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia to facilitate transportation for people with disabilities, and also to provide job opportunities for them who usually get discrimination. In this project, the DifaBike Team needed a mobile app to accommodate these activities.
Problem & Challenge
The majority of people with disabilities have difficulty getting jobs, especially becoming a driver which could actually be an option for work. The online motorcycle taxi services that are currently available have not been able to accommodate people with disabilities to become drivers or passengers.
Solution
This startup was created to develop an online motorcycle taxi service that is friendly to people with disabilities. Some things that need to be considered in developing this service are:
Providing special vehicles
Ensuring security and permits
Creating applications that have good accessibility, simple user flow, and modern design
Result & Impact
This project is carried out to produce a digital product in the form of a mobile application as a solution to the problems identified in the initial stage.
Opening opportunities for people with disabilities to work as drivers
Disabled passengers have a special online ride-hailing option that accommodates their needs
Conclusion
This project has improved my analytical and empathy skills. With the contribution that I can give, I continue to learn to be able to provide the best solution through an easy-to-understand interface and user flow.
